Don Knotts

Don Knotts (1924 - 2006)

Although Don Knotts appearred in many movies over the course of his career, ( I remember watching and enjoying 'The Apple Dumpling Gang' and 'It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World' with my Grandparents as a kid), he is best known for his role on TV. In the 1960's he played Deputy Barney Fife in 'The Andy Griffith Show'. In the 1970's sitcom 'Three's Company' he played the landlord Mr. Furley along side of John Ritter and Suzanne Sommers. He was a sort of pioneer in self deprcating humor. Not unlike Chris Farley.

  1. Boy, you sure ran out of steam fast on this blog. Whatever happened to the dead presidents quest?

  2. I actually kind of forgot about this blog. I started it in October 2011 right after I got back from a trip to Los Angeles when I visited several celebrity gravesites. I have not been back to the West Coast since and most of my trips since then has been along the East Coast, the South and Midwest where there’s not nearly as many as celebrities buried. I have visited a few celebrity graves since then so maybe I’ll get this blog started up again. My main travel interest would benefit my POTUS historical sites and Ohio governor gravesites pages. Although I’ve been so busy recently I’ve been neglecting those as well.
